"It's so exciting to be here," says South West Trading Company's (SWTC) Jonelle Raffino. She's taking a few moments off the busy STITCHES Market at the Santa Clara Convention center to do a video interview, but the air corridor above our hotel seems to be as busy as the Market floor.
"With over 60 'Tofutsies' colors, South West Trading Company was a natural for the Think Outside the SOX Contest," says Jonelle Raffino.
Jonelle is a good sport about our sudden stops and starts every time a jet liner flies overhead, and seems to have no trouble picking up her thread.
"These knitters are so enthusiastic and excited. They're spending money, and they're still in love with their art.
"And I've been talking to them about Atlanta. That's a great market, a great city, and we're really excited about being there.
"Mom came, and she's on tilt! She's been in our booth working, and meeting people, she's been walking the show floor, and working in our vendor's booth. Now she wants to go to Atlanta — which is a fun an unexpected twist. She's hooked."
"Watch out Atlanta! I'm bringing my new sock book, Socks Ala Carte!
"We worked hard spreading the news about the Contest, helping our stores to promote it, so when we got here to see the entries with our Tofutsies sock yarn it was, 'Wow!'"
