Eons ago when vinyl records and console stereos were the norm, a comedian named Bill Cosby had his stand up routines made for everybunny to hear. My father had one of the albums, and for some reason this week I cannot get this one word in "Shop" out of my head. It is where he and his fellow students were at metal shop and the sounds they hammered were "Tink. Tink tink... Tink tink tink..." Though the word means "unknit back" to some of us, I feel like I am working away bit by bit, chip by chip, stitch by stitch.

Back in December during a Tweet up (a gathering for folks on Twitter.com), I met a woman who had a Youth Ministry group called the Acteens in the Cambria Baptist Church of Christiansburg, VA. Carrie Bradshaw had knitted years ago, and was thinking of teaching her teen-aged daughter and her friends how to knit. I offered to teach them if they asked and gave her my contact information.
